 Chris Doig - Founder, CEO and author


Chris graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa with a bachelor of electrical engineering degree. While at university, he founded Cirrus Technology to supply information technology products to the corporate market. The focus at Cirrus was helping companies buy the best IT products for their particular needs. Cirrus also developed custom software for the South African 7-Eleven franchise holder and other corporate clients.

In the mid-nineties, Chris immigrated to the United States and worked at several companies in technical and IT management roles: Seagate, Biogen, Netflix, Boeing, Bechtel SAIC, Discovery Communications and several startups. At all of these companies he repeatedly saw software being purchased with an immature selection process. Invariably this software would take longer to implement than planned and cost more than budgeted. To make matters worse, the software seldom met expectations.

Having struggled with software selection himself, Chris founded Wayferry to help organizations acquire enterprise software. He is also the author of Rethinking Enterprise Software Selection: Stop buying square pegs for round holes. For Chris, the ultimate satisfaction is when clients report the new software is enabling their business strategy execution, and is meeting or even exceeding their expectations.

Garrett Colbert - VP of Business Development


Garrett is a sales and business development leader with over 35 years’ experience in multiple industries and has a strong focus on revenue growth, productivity and profitability. He has a professional enthusiasm that generates an attitude of growth as well as a dedication to high performance and goal attainment. He embraces a philosophy of continued learning and development with regard to business and in the personal arena. His collaborative work style provides for the best possible outcomes.

Garrett believes that the key to business success is through relationships. With this philosophy and focus, Garrett has become a consummate builder of successful business and personal partnerships.

He is a graduate of Towson University in Health Sciences, where he taught for three years. Garrett and his wife Judy live in Carlsbad, California. Their daughter, Cassandra, has recently left the corporate world to pursue her PhD. in Clinical Psychology. After growing up on the East coast and spending 25 years in the Midwest, Judy and Garrett are delighted to be living in San Diego.

Kathy Uher - Consultant


Kathy has garnered extensive experience in corporate America in both IT and the business side of sales and operations. While working in IT Management at Motorola, she achieved "impossible" mainframe conversion goals that earned her the “Leadership of Change” award. She directed the development of in-house billing and management IT applications and later was in charge of replacing those systems with off-the-shelf software through extensive evaluations and research. She oversaw the selection and implementation of new ERP systems in the Communications and Parts Sector.

Later, moving over to Strategic Services at Motorola Solutions, Kathy developed a sales and technical services strategy to win RFP business opportunities, which earned over $100M in annual revenues. She also developed standard proposal documentation that was adopted across Motorola for RFP responses.

Kathy graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Industrial Engineering and followed this with an M.B.A. from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Al Ramirez - Consultant


Al’s extensive software experience includes responsibility for worldwide implementations for an ERP vendor. He knows firsthand how vendors respond to RFPs, and as VP of Operations, he knows the trials and tribulations of major software implementations. Before that, Al spent 15 years at IBM, rising through the ranks to lead a worldwide team of 400 across 5 divisions with a profit/loss responsibility of $800 million.

Seeing an opportunity in the market, Al founded a company specialized in developing, implementing and installing surgical suites, radiology suites and intensive care units. This required selecting the optimum technologies and design strategies for desired procedures and protocols. Working with two US hospitals and the Sonora, Mexico Secretary of Health, his team reduced premature infant mortality rates from 26% to 4% in 2 years. More recently he led the business and sales team at a molecular imaging biotech company in pre-clinical drug and device development.

A graduate of the University of Arizona, Al has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is fully bilingual and has two patents to his name.

David P. Burrill - Consultant


A former Big 4 IT Consultant and CPA, Dave has over 25 years of technology project management experience. He has led multi-discipline, multi-region teams to successfully complete projects for clients ranging from startups to the Fortune 50. As a management team member, Dave helped take three tech companies to successful exits in an IPO or sale to a public company. With cross-discipline expertise and experience ranging from finance, operations and IT, to sales and marketing, he is a C-Suite peer and trusted advisor.

A lifelong learner, Dave is a member of the Project Management Institute and Scrum Alliance, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master (CSM). He has received international awards for his work in SaaS, advanced analytics and machine learning, and has been selected to Who’s Who in American Executives & Professionals.

A graduate of the University of California, Irvine Dave holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Psychology. He earned his MBA at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, where he pursued a doctorate in Organization and Systems Design.

Warren Lieberman - Consultant


Warren’s early career included working at Arthur Andersen where he focused on bridging IT and Business/Accounting functions. After moving to New York, he developed business plans, evaluated software and administered a class-action claim system. Warren started the ERP phase of his career with Oracle Consulting where he implemented and upgraded Oracle Financials for local government, large national and international clients and several start-ups. Then he spent 17 years at Broadcom working on software selection, implementation, upgrade and process improvement projects.

As Broadcom grew from $1B to $15B in revenue and 25 countries they transitioned their ERP to PeopleSoft and briefly to SAP, before moving to Oracle EBS. Warren was the primary designer for financial and non-financial modules and architected a robust period end processing schedule that supported a 3-5 day close. As part of the IT Management team, Warren supported mission critical, packaged and custom business systems, led acquisition integrations for the IT/Finance team and was a key interface for Audit and SOX compliance. Before joining Wayferry, Warren spent an incredible year at SpaceX as a Finance Product Manager supporting their ERP system.

Warren graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa.
